Patrick Ricard, the CEO de Pernod-Ricard, has confirmed his retreat from the operational direction during a General Assembly of shareholders of the group, and announced that he will be replaced by Pierre Pringuet, now the delegated general director. Patrick Ricard stays president of the board of directors of Pernod-Ricard. Very moved, he announced: “After 33 years, I am leaving the operational function. Still I am happy about it, as I know that the group will do well in the hands of Pierre Pringuet.”
Pierre Pringuet, on his part, made it clear that the changes in the management of the Group are enrolled in the continuing history of Pernod-Ricard: “I am sufficiently linked to the transformation of the group, so that, if I would step off that path, it would mean a form of disavowal, and that is not what I do. (…) The way is mapped out, the direction is clear: Always ahead, with exactly the same continuation, we are currently following”.
